Understanding the carrier injection and transport characteristics in ion-permeable semiconductors as a function of electronic carriers and ion density is crucial for manufacturing high-performance ionic/electronic mixed conductors. To verify carrier injection and transport in polythiophene-based polymer semiconductors, the relationship between the volumetric density of accumulated holes and their mobility was systematically investigated using electrolyte-gated transistors. In addition, we explored ion-dependent carrier accumulation and transport in polythiophene semiconductors.
