Recent Studies on Biodegradable Thermogels and Their Applications

Biodegradable thermogels undergo heat-induced sol-to-gel transition. We have been searching new thermogels, investigating their transition mechanisms and biomedical applications. In addition to drug delivery, 3D cell culture, and tissue engineering, thermogels were proven to be an excellent tool for drug discovery and cell storage. In this presentation, we will briefly summarize the development of thermogelling materials including poly(lactide/glycolide), polycaprolactone, bioinert polypeptides, and bioactive functional polypeptides.
