Textile electronic devices have recently been gaining attention in wearable devices. Utilizing a textile substrate, which could be easily sewed to cloth, could be a prominent approach to improve the stretchability, and breathability of wearable electronics. In this study, we introduce stretchable supercapacitor (SC) with high performance via the utilization of a soft current collector and a textile substrate. We use intrinsically soft eutectic gallium-indium (EGaIn) coated on a stretchable textile substrate as the current collector. CNT is adopted to the active material of textile SC. The electrochemical performance of fabricated textile SC is discussed in terms of capacitance via CV and GCD analyses. The physical durability and stability of the SC are also analyzed by comparing the capacitance before and after repeated stretching cycles. Finally, the energy storing performance of the stretchable and high performance textile SC sewn on cloths of an elbow joint is demonstrated.
