A triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) is a device that generates electricity from mechanical motions, which offers a promising and simple energy harvesting platform. In this study, we descibe deformable TENGs based on transparent, stretchable, and self-supporting ionogels for wearable electronics. In particular, the employed ionic conductors were designed to exhibit high stretchability (an elongation limit of ~850%) and excellent transparency (~90%). The resulting TENG successfully provided high-voltage output and high reliability.
