Precision Synthesis of Functional Polystyrene Derivatives via Anionic Polymerization

Among the various living polymerization methods, such as anionic polymerization, cationic polymerization, and controlled radical polymerization, anionic polymerization is currently regarded as the most effective approach for synthesizing well-defined polymers with predictable molecular weights and extremely narrow molecular weight distributions. Well-defined polystyrene derivatives, which are produced using this technique, are widely utilized for diverse applications based on their unique functionalities. In this presentation, I will particularly focus on the precise anionic synthesis and specific applications of functional polystyrene derivatives containing adamantane and triphenylamine groups.
