Over the past decades, liquid crystal polymers have attracted scientific attention because of engineered superior properties based on molecular orientation. LCPs are considered as various functional materials due to their self-assembly properties, and in particular, they have a potential in the electronic device. Among the various excellent properties of LCP, the high thermal conductivity is fascinating to control heat generation in the device. Herein, we synthesized a new type of thermosetting LCP based on polyethylene glycol (PEG) backbone. The monomer was synthesized with various aliphatic chain lengths and polymerized by curing agents. The microstructure was investigated by POM and XRD analysis. Thermal properties were investigated by DSC, DMA, and TGA. In particular, we investigated the correlation between microstructure and thermal conductivity of LCP.
