Polymer Research for Scientific Discovery and Engineering Applications

The Lee research group is conducting various fundamental research for scientific discovery and engineering applications of polymeric materials under the theme of thermodynamics in general. Our current efforts are elucidation of crystallographic polymorphism using block copolymer-based model micellar colloids, crystallization engineering of organic crystals using polymer substrates, fluctuation-induced microstructure control of epoxy thermosets, and thermodynamic states of polymer solid electrolytes. Those research efforts are revealing the unrealized critical role of thermodynamic effects in polymeric materials and beyond.
