초록

내용
Dielectrophoresis (DEP) is generally defined as the phenomenon of translational movement of polarizable particles in a non-uniform electric field. Depending on the size, electrical properties, and density of particles, there is a difference in the behavior of each particles even in the same electric field. Therefore, DEP can be relatively convenient, diverse and efficient method for the manipulation of particles in terms of sensitivity, selectivity, and label-free properties. In this study, polystyrene-based Janus Particles (JPs) composed of two different faces were prepared through particle monolayer formation and anisotropic metal deposition of gold. The DEP behaviors of various biomolecule-conjugated JPs was investigated under various alternating current conditions, including voltage and frequency. Each result was monitored and compared. The experimental results of this study showed the potential to be applied to the detection and classification of specific biomolecules.
