Ultra High Molecular Weight Polymer having the molecular weight more than 1,000,000 g/mol has the mechanical strength. Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) has excellent abrasion resistance and chemical resistance. And its specific gravity lower than water. So, it is used for rails and filters of fibers, pipes, valves, conveyor belts, and is also used for artificial joint as it doesn`t harm the human body. UHMWPE is a superhydrophobic material and isn`t well synthesized with graphene. Therefore, we modified graphene oxide with octadecylamine (ODA) to form a hydrophilic material (GO-ODA). Morphology of GO-ODA incorporated UHMWPE was observed by SEM. We investigate the effect of GO-ODA on the rheology and thermal properties of UHMWPE/GO-ODA composites.
