Dendrimersome formulation of low generation of polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer derivatives as drug carriers

Cancer is a serious problem affecting the health of the human society. It is the second leading cause of death. Chemotherapy is one of the best ways to treat cancer. Herein, we synthesized PHRC by conjugating dipeptide (HR) and cholesterol at different ratios (6% or 23%) on the surface of PAMAM G2 as drug carriers for the first time. PHRC 6% and PHRC 23% dendrimers can form dendrimersomes with nanosize. To enhance the chemotherapeutic of dendrimersomes, the TPGS has been combined with PHRC. The paclitaxel or curcumin-loaded dendrmersomes (PHRC6/TPGS/PTX, PHRC23/TPGS/PTX, PHRC6/TPGS/Cur, PHRC23/TPGS/Cur) showed an excellent anticancer effect on B16F10 cell line. Moreover, the curcumin-dendrimersomes have been evaluated for antibacterial with high efficiency.
