High Efficiency Polymer Solar Cell Using Flexible Transparent Electrode Based on Patterned Sandwich-type Silver Nanowire

In this study, we demonstrated novel patterned sandwich-type AgNWs-based transparent electrodes easily prepared using the solution process photolithography method for application in flexible devices. The under layer was introduced to increase the adhesion properties between the plastic substrate and AgNWs, and as a result, a uniform AgNWs layer was easily achieved. Finally, the AgNWs layer could be easily patterned by introducing the UV-sensitizer upper layer without lift-off, dry transfer, and ablation methods. The components of upper layer, 2,4-hexadiyne-1,6-diol (HDD) had good crosslinking properties as well as excellent adhesion to the AgNWs layer, so that patterned electrodes with smooth surface morphology could be easily obtained. These our method can support an effective approach for transparent electrodes with excellent optical and electrical properties using an overcoat layer with UV-sensitizer.
