Synthesis and Physical Properties of Polyurethane Resin with Bio-based Polyol

Polyurethane is a polymer that contains urethane produced by isocyanates and OH terminal group in molecules, and is widely used in many ways due to its high drug resistance, wear resistance, mechanical property and durability due to its urethane. Recently, research on polyurethane synthesis and commercialization using functional materials with excellent physical properties have been actively conducted. In this work, resin is synthesized with 100% bio-based polyether polyol and fatty isocyanate, which can be replaced by Petro-based polyol. The film is manufactured using synthetic resin, and the physical features are compared with conventional resin based polyol.
