Developmet of conjugated polymers for photodetecting applications

Recently, organic photodetectors (OPDs) have been actively studied for portable and wearable light-detecting applications. ISORG showed printed OPDs for high-resolution fingerprint sensors and portable medical X-ray imaging. Panasonic announced a 8K high-resolution CMOS image sensors using thin OPDs. Samsung demonstrated full-color RGB (red: green: blue) image sensors by replacing G-selective OPDs with silicon photodetectors. Currently, small-molecule-based OPDs have been dominantly developed, but in this study, we tried to develop several conjugated polymers showing excellent responsivity, detectivity, wavelength selectivley and signal responses in OPDs.
