This study deals with the development of a UV-curable polyurethane acrylate-based transparent nanocomposite by using electrospun nylon 6 nanofibers as reinforcement. The remarkable properties of nylon 6 nanofibers offer the use of nanofibers as reinforcement in making nanocomposites, in which both the mechanical and optical properties of the fabricated nanocomposites are focused. This method allowed the significant enhancement of the mechanical properties by using a very tiny amount of Nylon 6 nanofibers for different time of deposition. This method admitted significant enhancement of the mechanical properties without sacrificing transparency and flexibility.
