Carbon supported TiO2 nanofibers (C-TiO2 NFs) electrodes were synthesized by the electrospinning technique using polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP) as precursors. After the direct thermal treatment of the as-spun nanofibers into the inert atmosphere, the PVP was converted into the carbon whereas the TTIP decomposed into the TiO2. The electrochemical studies revealed that the loading of TiO2 into the amorphous carbon showed an extraordinary enhancement in terms of electrochemical properties which is due to the combined effect of TiO2 and carbon. The prepared material can be considered as a potential candidate for supercapacitor electrode
