Silver doped functionalized reduced graphene oxide (Ag-RGO) nano-sheets were synthesized and then assembled into the polyurethane nanofibers (PU NFs) via electrospinning technique. Various characterization techniques were employed to confirm the distribution of GO sheets along with the Ag nanoparticles in the PU nanofibers. The antibacterial performance of the as-prepared nanofibers (Ag-RGO@PU NFs) membrane was tested against Escherichia coli (E. coli) bacteria and it exhibited a very strong bactericidal activity. It can be anticipated that the Ag-RGO@PU NF composite can be used in various applications such as wound dressing, biofilm, and the coating of the biomaterials.
