Tailorable nature, light weight, versatility and stability are some advantages of Conjugated Polymers (CPs) to be used in optical and electronic arena. In our work a novel route of disubstituted polymeric material via multistep synthesis for optoelectronics application is proposed. In the polymer synthesis both Sonogashira reaction and metathesis reaction were used, yielding stable crystalline complex. Furthermore, the effect of the pendant alkene chain length to the thermal and optical property of the assembly will be studied.
