Polymeric nanocomposite is the versatile material of unique merits, i.e., low cost, high porosity – that are the inherent this raw material provides. Beyond these, a huge potential has appeared as applied so far as many: anti-bacterial, energy-harvesting, and efficient catalyst materials. Here, we present layer-by-layer manufacture of a silver nanocomposite with filter paper. Within the processing, in-situ reducing synthesis and chitosan capping action are investigated. Regulating pH of reactant solutions, intermolecular interactions are easily modified by chitosan self-assembly. This presentation majorly introduces its characteristics assessed by different analyses, i.e., SEM, micro-tensile test, UV-vis spectrometry. Herewith, we demonstrate its mechanical property (and the supposed intermolecular bonds), optical property, and morphology. We lastly propose its application, surface-enhancement Raman spectroscopy, a sensor accomplishing high-density hotspot arranged along with z-axis.
