Synthetic Polymer Chemist, Postdoctoral Position The Ciba Specialty Chemicals Research Center at Tarrytown, New York, is looking to fill an industrial postdoctoral position in Polymer Synthesis. Several projects are in progress that require block copolymer synthesis. The ideal candidate would be a synthetic polymer chemist who has used at least one of the controlled free radical methods to synthesize block copolymers and has other organic synthesis experience as well. Because of the need to interact with individuals working on very diverse projects, excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Candidates should have less than 5 years postdoctoral experience. This opportunity is available beginning October 1, 2004 (urgent) with a planned duration of two years. Salary will be determined based upon the successful candidate's background, qualifications, and experience.
