CarbopolÒ hydrogel containing propolis CHP showed a protective effect against inflammatory reaction. CHP accelerated re-epithelialization of the injury site during wound healing. Finally, the covered wounds with CHP showed significantly more rapid contraction and closure. Histological tissue examination confirmed that CHP induced advanced granulation tissue formation and re-epithelialization in the wound. Therefore, it is suggested that CHP has a promising effect on the wound healing process.
