고분자 과학과 기술 제 30 권 2 호 2019년 4월 207 「Macromolecular Research」목차 정기간행영문지_ 27권 4호 ․ 2019년 4월 In this study, we aimed to improve the transfection efficiency of PAMAM generation 3 by introducing NLS peptides KRTR derived from the influenza B virus nucleoprotein. Each complex of PAMAM generation 3, PAMAM-RTRK and PAMAM-HRTRK with plasmid DNA was analyzed by STEM -in-SEM and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy EDS to verify the characteristics of the polyplex, respectively. We demonstrated that the conjugation of the KRTR sequence to the PAMAM surface could compactly condense DNA by enriching the basic amino acids and facilitate the active intra-cellular transport of the external genetic material via NLS peptides leading to enhanced transfection efficiency, especially in the alveolar epithelial cells that serve as host cells for the influenza virus.
