Res., 27, 444 2019 Cover Paper Planar heterojunction PHJ and planar-mixed heterojunction PMHJ VD-OSCs were fabricated using a novel BBTBDTM donor as the electron donor and C60 as the electron acceptor. The insertion of the co-deposited BBTBDTMC60 layer between the BBTBDTM and C60 layers improved the interfacial contact among BBTBDTM and C60. As a result, this planar-mixed heterojunction PMHJ device improved the power conversion efficiency to 1.49%, representing a 3.8 fold higher than the typical planar heterojunction PHJ devices.
