Abstract

Flexible thermoelectric generators (f-TEGs), which harvest body heat to power wearable electronic devices, are gaining significant attention as a promising self-powered technology. For the stable operation of f-TEGs, excellent mechanical durability, flexibility, and high thermoelectric (TE) performance are essential. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are promising materials for f-TEG applications due to their outstanding flexibility and high electrical conductivity. However, their inherently poor dispersibility in solvents has limited the formation of uniform, large-area coatings. In this study, we successfully demonstrated an f-TEG via a simple process utilizing uniform, large-area sheets fabricated from oxidation-treated CNTs with enhanced water dispersibility. In particular, we confirmed that doping control via drop-casting is highly effective for precisely tuning p-type and n-type TE performance. This work provides a practical strategy for large-area processing and opens new avenues for future f-TEG development.
