Abstract
This presentation will describe the preparation of hybrid structures, composed of synthetic polymers and perovskite nanocrystals, in which the selection of polymer backbone, pendant ligands, and perovskite nanocrystals leads to bright and emissive materials suitable for light-emitting displays. With specific focus on polymer zwitterions and nanocrystal patterning, the presentation will illustrate methods in which light-generated halide ions in a polymer matrix produce well-defined regions of desired emission wavelengths. Overall, polymers are found to play a central role in creating solution-processed and flexible films that encapsulate well-dispersed semiconductor nanoscale emitters.
