Abstract

In this study, self-assembled nanoparticles composed of dialdehyde hyaluronic acid (DAHA) and aminophenyl disulfide (APDS) were successfully prepared. FTIR analysis confirmed the successful formation of Schiff base linkages between DAHA and APDS. TEM observations revealed that the nanoparticles possessed a spherical morphology with diameters below 100 nm, while DLS demonstrated good colloidal stability for at least one week. Furthermore, owing to the incorporation of Schiff base and disulfide bonds, the nanoparticles exhibited pH- and reduction-responsive structural changes. Overall, the HA-based DAHA/APDS nanoparticles, with their intrinsic potential for CD44-mediated targeting and dual pH/redox responsiveness, represent a promising platform for future drug delivery applications.
