In celebration of the 50th anniversaries of the Polymer Society of Korea (PSK) and the Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT), this special session highlights the recent advances and future directions in polymer science and engineering from the perspective of a national chemical research institute.

Since its establishment in 1976, KRICT has been dedicated to advancing chemical technologies and bridging fundamental research and industrial innovation, thereby strengthening the global competitiveness of the chemical industry in Korea. Regarding this longstanding mission, leading researchers from KRICT will present recent achievements and future research directions in polymer synthesis, functional polymeric materials, polymer processing, and energy-related polymer technologies.

By presenting both fundamental discoveries and industrially relevant innovations, the session aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and stimulate discussion on future challenges and opportunities in polymer science for a sustainable and technologically advanced society.
