Stretchable Color Conversion Layer with Highly Stable Perovskite Quantum Dots

With the recent surge in research on next-generation stretchable displays, there is increasing interest in developing stretchable color conversion layers (CCLs), which are key factors affecting the resolution, color purity, and power consumption of displays. In this study, we modified the surface ligands of highly stable perovskite nanoparticles and combined them with a monomer and a uniquely designed crosslinker that enables multivalent supramolecular polymerization. This resulted in an elastic CCL with low blue leakage (< 3%), high PLQY (> 80%), and high toughness (> 4000 J m-2). The implemented CCL maintained its mechanical and optical properties without aggregation, even after repeated stretching operations under a system strain of 100%.
