The objective of this study was to design poly(urethane acrylate)-siloxanes hydride networks with enhanced compositions of hard and soft segments, exhibiting high thermal stability and flexibility. The structure comprised the side chain of monodicarbinol terminated polydimethylsiloxane as the soft polyol incorporated into the polyurethane backbone, with the aim of enhancing mechanical properties at high temperature. The synthesis of transparent poly(urethane acrylate)-siloxanes hydride oligomers was successfully completed. Their mechanical properties were investigated by rheometer, hardness tester and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). It was found that the siloxanes can enhance poly(urethane acrylate) systems in terms of thermal or dynamic properties, while maintaining or improving other physical properties, including optical transparency, chemical compatibility, and processability.
