Organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) are promising for biosensing applications, particularly in monitoring physiological signals, due to their ion-assisted redox reaction mechanism. However, miniaturizing biosensors for wearable and portable devices poses challenges like reduced sensitivity, increased noise, and poor biological signal detection. To address these issues, our study explores integrating OECTs onto microfibers. By employing advanced coating techniques and precise patterning on microfibers, we directly fabricate OECTs on these substrates. This innovative approach maintains detection precision and overcomes miniaturization challenges. Our research paves the way for one-dimensional multifunctional biosensors, leveraging a variety of functional fibers, marking a significant advancement in biosensor technology.
