Recently, paring molecular p-dopant pared with Lewis acid has been reported as an effective method to increase doping efficiency and long-term stability for conjugated polymers (CPs). Based on previous results, we attempted double doping of CPs using Lewis acid (BCF) and p-dopant (F4TCNQ) in sequence. Doping efficiency and electrical conductivity were further improved through this cascade complex doping process, compared to conventional sequential doping using BCF-F4TCNQ complex dopant. Electrical, optical, and Hall effect characterizations revealed that the enhancement originated from efficient formation of dopant complexes and resulting higher level of generated charge carriers through cascade complex doping. Furthermore, we also studied effects of cascade complex doping on thermoelectric properties of doped CPs.
