Photonic synapses that can perceive and differentiate multispectral colors are essential for the development of advanced neuromorphic vision systems. To achieve this, we propose a method to incorporate color-discriminating synaptic functions into two-terminal memristors, regardless of the switching medium used. This is accomplished by adding an interlayer with long-lasting light-enhanced dipoles, which enables modulation of the device's resistance in response to light. The abilities of photo-responsivity and color discrimination are shown through varying output levels when stimulated by multispectral light pulses. Additionally, the photonic synapse array demonstrates potential for visual pre-processing by observing output signals from color image inputs. We believe this method could pave the way for creating artificial neural networks suited for neuromorphic vision systems
