Skin-attachable vibration sensors offer significant potential in mobile healthcare, advanced communication, and human-robot interaction. Here, we introduce a new concept of using a piezoelectric poly(vinylidene fluoride trifluoroethylene) (PVDF-TrFE) diaphragm as a non-contact power source for a capacitive vibration sensor. The piezoelectric diaphragm effectively generates an electric field between the capacitive electrodes, allowing the sensor to function with an excellent linear dynamic range. Furthermore, we have designed a unique spacer that provides (i) in-plane air ventilation and (ii) maximization of sensor array density. As a result, our sensor demonstrates remarkable sensitivity (626 mV g-1) with a flat frequency response and an outstanding signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 43 dBV (A-weighted). Its significant potential as a next-generation auditory electronic skin is evidenced by its capability to detect critical voice and physiological signals when applied to human skin.
