In p-i-n structured perovskite solar cells (PSCs), C60 material is widely employed as the electron transport material (ETM). However, due to the uneven perovskite surface and the relatively weak adhesion between C60 and perovskite, ultimately resulting in stability degradation issues. Herein we introduce nona-naphthalene di-imide-acetate (NDI-C9-Ace) as a passivation layer for perovskite and C60 bonding layer in PSC. NDI material is a planar structure composed of pi-conjugation, allowing for some pi-pi stacking and van der Waals interactions with C60. Nonane can be role as hydrophobic passivation layer to perovskite. Acetyl group can be role as an anchoring group. We have not only ensured structural stability using NDI-C9-Ace, but also improved the electrical performance of the device. We found that lifetime of electrons and external quantum efficiency are enhanced compared to the pristine device. Finally, increased efficiency and stable device under 1 sun condition can be fabricated.
