Study of HDI isocyanurate reaction process for lower color of polyisocyante resin

In polyurethane coating industrials, polyisocyanate hardener has been used for curing acrylic polyol and polyester polyol, etc. Most of polyisocyanate hardener is manufactured under high temperature, and by using ammonium salt catalysts. So, final polyisocyante resin has high APHA color because of lower heat stability and unstable catalysts on HDI(Hexamethylen diisocyanate) isocyanurate reaction. In this study, we investigated isocyanurate reaction process for manufacturing HDI polyisocyanrate resin having lower APHA color. For optimum reaction process having lower color, we examined reaction temperature, reaction time, catalyst amount etc. Finally, we finned out optimum reaction process for lower color of HDI polyisocyanate resin.
