Currently, commercially available liquid electrolyte LIB exhibits high energy density and low-temperature characteristics. However, their poor thermal stability has prompted extensive research into alternative technologies, such as solid electrolytes (SE) and polymer electrolytes (PE). In this study, the polymer was achieved by utilizing a lithium-substituted monomer and incorporating a monomer with a sulfonic acid group for improve ion conductivity. Replacing the OH group of sulfonic acid with SO3- Li+ results in a stable planar tunnel structure formed within the micelle channel structure between polymer chains. The channel creates a passage through which lithium ions can easily move. The research aims to enhance ionic conductivity values. The synthesized polymer is characterized analyzed with TGA and DSC for thermal properties. In addition, the electrochemical properties of the corresponding polymer electrolyte are investigated through EIS and charge/discharge studies.
