Hydrogels with an electrical conductivity can be applied to wearable sensors, bioelectronic devices and energy storage. Cellulose, poly(vinyl alcohol), and polyaniline (PANI) have mainly been used to matrix of hydrogels with an electrical conductivity. Among them, PANI has an electrical conductivity. It means that it can be used to the matrix without conductive filler. However, PANI is not suitable for main matrix in hydrogels due to low crosslinking density. In this study, PANI/Gelatin hydrogels were prepared using gelatin to improve mechanical properties. In order to characterize the structure of the prepared hydrogel, FT-IR, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) were used, and the resistance change was confirmed to characterize the electrical properties of the hydrogel according to the boric acid concentration.
