Hard coating films with self-healing properties help maintain product performance and extend product life, and can be applied in various fields such as electronic sensors, lenses, automobiles, and supercapacitors. However, in the case of hard coating films with self-healing properties, self-healing properties and surface hardness show a trade-off relationship, so there is a limitation that it is not easy to implement them simultaneously. Therefore, in this study, we studied a hard coating film that exhibits self-healing properties using a disulfide exchange reaction using polysilsesquioxane as the main material. As a result of the evaluation, it showed high hardness, transparency, and high thermal stability. In addition, we evaluated the self-healing properties by external stimulation after scratching using a nano scratch tester. Through this, we confirmed that a self-healing hard coating film with higher hardness than existing self-healing coating films was formed.
