Acute injury to the skin tissue leads to dysregulated inflammation due to elevated oxidative stress, which hinders angiogenesis and proliferation, ultimately inhibiting the normal wound healing process. The development of particles that accelerate collagen deposition and angiogenesis after induction of reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenging and immune regulation is a promising method for the treatment of ROS-related inflammation in chronic wounds. Here, we developed particles (HSr@TCu) composed of tannic acid, copper, and strontium and incorporated them into hydrogel microparticles. HSr@TCu exhibited multiple enzyme-mimicking, extensive ROS scavenging ability, enhanced migration of endothelial cells, and angiogenesis for the treatment of chronic wounds. The ROS scavenging effect and anti-inflammatory, and pro-angiogenic effects of HSr@TCu within hydrogel microparticles will facilitate clinical treatment of chronic wound.
