Human-Interactive Sensing and Synaptic Displays

Human-interactive technologies play a crucial role in intelligent IoT. Electrical sensors detect human physiological and environmental changes via electric signals, delivering data to a display physically connected through a microprocessor. Developing an integrated platform with optimized architectures that converge a sensor and display is essential for efficient, low-power information management. Such integrated human-interactive sensing displays (HISDs) can electrically detect external stimuli with optical visualization. In this presentation, a variety of device architectures and materials designs are presented for HISDs. Guidelines for future HISD developments and novel sensing displays for human-extrasensory visualization are provided. The presentation briefly mentions an emerging tactile visual synapse that combines tactile artificial synapses' functionality with real-time activity visualization, offering an efficient route for monitoring motion-related occupational therapy.
