Development of an effective microencapsulated fire extinguisher incorporating sulfone and vinly ether functional groups

Abstract
Due to the recent surge in electricity-based utilities, fires are occurring more frequently, and disaster prevention-related research is garnering attention as a means of preventing them. Our research group has also recently reported the development of a fire extinguishing microcapsule material that is based on PFMPF55 in order to address this issue. However, it is still imperative to create fire extinguishing agents (FEAs) with a diverse range of compositions in order to effectively manage fire in a variety of scenarios. Here, we introduced sulfone and vinly ether functional groups as additives to improve fire extinguishing efficiency and successfully encapsulate them. Furthermore, From various results of thermal analysis, it has been shown that it can be effectively used as a fire control material. These findings provide a glimpse into the potential of new functional groups in FEAs and suggest that these functional groups have the potential to enhance the performance of FEAs
