We present the synthesis and characterization of C2O, a novel 2D crystalline framework with a 2:1 molar ratio of carbon to oxygen and crown ether holes. This covalent framework, stable in various environments, enhances KI activation and significantly improves CO2 fixation with epoxides. Remarkably, C2O with KI increases CO2 conversion rates for epichlorohydrin and allyl glycidyl ether. Additionally, C2O allows extensive chemical modifications, further boosting CO2 fixation efficiencies. This scalable, durable, and customizable framework holds significant potential for multifunctional material design and diverse applications.
