As a polymer, lignin constituting 20-35% of the woody biomass and a major component of the lignocellulosic matrix plays a crucial role in enhancing the strength and durability of wood. Moreover, lignin being a by-product of wood is cost-effective and renewable resource for reducing environmental impact. In this research, we use Digital Light Processing (DLP) 3D printing which offers excellent surface quality, cost-efficiency, and rapid prototyping through selective light irradiation layer by layer. Despite its advantage, DLP is resulting in limitations mechanical properties for using industries owing to using only photo-curable resin. In this study, we attempted to enhance the mechanical properties of the DLP products by using lignin which has many suitable functional groups like hydroxyl as a filler for photo-curable resin. Therefore, we optimized the dispersion to well disperse the composite, and then printed out the DLP specimen for evaluating the effect of lignin as a filler.
