Evaporation hydrovoltaic generators hold potential for addressing the water-energy crisis. MXene-based solar evaporators are highly regarded in both desalination and hydrovoltaic applications due to their superior photothermal conversion efficiency, electrical conductivity, and ion exchange capacity. However, challenges remain in enhancing interfacial evaporation-driven energy conversion and slow phase transition rate of water. We propose LDH@MXene/CNF aerogel with aligned channels. Growth layered double hydroxide(LDH) on MXene sheets improves optical properties and energy conversion efficiency (93.13%). Increased negative charge from growth of LDH accelerates water phase transition. Combining low-density cellulose nanofiber(CNF) to create aligned channels via directional freezing, enabling continuous seawater supply through enhanced capillary force. Thus, LDH@MXene/CNF aerogel is expected to outperform conventional MXene-based solar evaporators in desalination and hydrovoltaic generation.
