In stretchable displays, the optical adhesive film must be transparent, adhesive, flexible, and recoverable to ensure mechanical stability against deformation. However, conventional optical adhesive films have low Tg and cohesion, leading to poor recovery properties. Therefore we propose an approach to fabricate a transparent and highly recoverable stretchable nanocomposite adhesive film through the synergistic combination of elastic silica nanoparticle and multifunctional crosslinkers. By grafting flexible poly(propylene glycol)(meth)acrylate chains onto rigid nano-silica surfaces, we introduced functional nanoparticles that allow the adhesive film to flexibly adapt to external deformations. Subsequently, incorporating multifunctional cross-linkers (PETA, PPGDA) enabled the formation of densely packed chemical bonds within the matrix, alongside physical cross-links such as hydrophobic interactions and chain entanglements. This approach endowed an optical adhesive film with outstanding recovery properties (84%).
