Proton exchange membrane (PEM) is important component directly related to the performance of fuel cell. To improve its performance, incorporation of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) into membrane has been suggested due to their large pore volume and long-range ordered hydrogen-bonding network. Among them, zirconium-based MOFs (Zr-MOFs) have been widely used owing to their acidic and electrical stability. In this research, we have investigated the effects of length of ligands and lone pairs of electrons in ligands on the membrane performances.
