Amorphous metal is a solid metal alloy that exhibits amorphous properties that endow attractive properties for various organic-optoelectronics and strain sensing. The absence of grain boundaries in the amorphous metals results in high oxidation stability and higher resistance against crack formation under external stress. In this study, the amorphous metal thin film is composed of aluminum-cerium binary components, which exhibited both long-term and stable charge collection and resistive response against various levels of strain. Specifically, the interdiffusion of cerium elements from the electrode to a hole transport layer is observed along with unusual performance recovery found in OPV devices, which are thoroughly investigated via various compositional analyses.
