This study presents a gel polymer electrolyte (GPE) utilizing a cross-linkable triethylene glycol methyl ether methacrylate (TEGMA) monomer to achieve high ion conductivity. Gel polymer electrolytes based on TEGMA were synthesized using the in-situ photo polymerization method, with PEGDA serving as the crosslinking agent. This selection was made due to the desirable properties of TEGMA-based polymer networks, such as flexible side chains, low crystallinity, and a stable coordination ability with lithium ions. The evaluation of TEGMA's effect on ion conductivity, through its ability to form specific crown coordination with lithium ions, could be achieved by adjusting the ratio between TEGMA and PEGDA in the composition. The GPEs fabricated in this study were characterized by using DSC, TGA, NMR, and FT-IR measurements. Their ion conductivity were also determined by using EIS measurements.
