ZnMgO is an n-type semiconductor that can be utilized in the manufacture of high-performance electronic and optoelectronic devices by bonding with p-type semiconductors. In addition, ZnMgO is a material used in various electrical devices such as solar cells, light-emitting diodes, and transistors due to its high electrical conductivity and excellent electron transport properties, making it suitable for efficient electronic applications. Previously, zinc acetate dihydrate and magnesium acetate tetrahydrate were used for the synthesis of ZnMgO. However, in this work, a new synthesis method for ZnMgO is investigated. ZnMgO nanoparticles are synthesized by the reaction of zinc acetylacetonate hydrate ❲Zn(acac)₂❳, magnesium acetylacetonate dihydrate ❲Mg(acac)₂❳, and NaOH, which is expected to simplify the process and improve the yield and dispersibility.
