ZnMgO is an N-type semiconductor, a representative electron-transporting material. ZnMgO is easy to synthesize, and cost-effective, with a wide bandgap, excellent dispersion stability, and a tunable work function. However, ZnMgO is susceptible to surface defects caused by oxygen vacancies, leading to leakage current and adversely affecting device performance. In this study, we synthesized dithiolate-based ligands and introduced them into ZnMgO to solve these problems. Dithiolate - Based Ligands are carbamic acid-like derivatives in which sulfur atoms replace all oxygen atoms. They are widely utilized in chemistry due to their passivation and resistance to external factors. Introducing dithiolate-based ligands into ZnMgO is expected to reduce surface defects and increase its stability, enabling its application in various devices.
