The increasing interests for advanced lightweight composites have led to a heightened focus on epoxy-based composites. However, these epoxy composites act as electrical insulators, causing issues like static charge accumulation and damage risk from sudden discharge. Incorporating electrically conductive fillers such as graphite and carbon black is a viable solution to address these problems. Creating a uniformly dispersed and densely interconnected three-dimensional network of these fillers is crucial for achieving high electrical conductivity. The synergistic effect achieved by combining different carbon fillers results in enhanced electrical properties that surpass those obtained from individual components. In this study, epoxy composites reinforced with graphite and carbon black were successfully fabricated, and their electrical properties based on variables such as total filler content, filler composition, and graphite particle size were investigated.
